Ralf Kokke
Ralf Kokke is a Dutch painter based in Dordrecht. Animals, nature, angels, mythical figures, and dream imagery form the core of his paintings. Drawing on late Gothic and early Renaissance principles, his compositions are built on geometric proportion. Technique functions not only as method, but as an opening into an inner image world. The works are quiet in tone and structure, shaped by a mystical sense of stillness and emptiness, yet charged with meaning.
He was nominated for the Royal Painting Award in 2022 and 2024 at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam. His work is supported by the Mondriaan Fund and the Municipality of Dordrecht, and is included in the collections of the Dordrechts Museum, Van GoghHuis Zundert, and the Vietnam Art Collection, among others. Kokke is represented by Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery.
